This will be a weekly update on all news that doesn't involve but might affect the Bruins.
The biggest game this weekend is the other LA team heading to Nebraska this weekend to get beat by the Huskers. Last I checked the line on the game had USC favored by 9.5 points and shrinking (opened at -13.5), but I'm still not buying it. As I recall, the Trojans have trouble at times even scoring 10 points.
Let me give you my prediction: It should be a tight game until the third quarter, when the Nebraska players realize they can psyche their opponents out by untucking the Trojan player's polo shirts and keying their BMWs. The Trojans will respond to the Huskers inventive strategy by overpaying for a sub par education and feeding their girlfriends copious amounts of cocaine. This odd tactic, however, will prove ineffective and the Trojans will end up losing - 114-5. Write it down, we'll see how I did next week.
In other Pac-10 news -
Washington faces the #10 ranked Ohio State. Washington could pull this off as they have played very well this season. Scouts, Inc gives them the edge in the match up and Ohio State is only favored by 4. Obviously it is good news for us if the Huskies pull this one out - we will definitely move into the top ten. Not to mention that it might help the perennially underrated Pac-10 get some respect.
A bunch of snoozers this weekend for the rest of the Pac-10.
In mascot related news -
The power rankings are in and we didn't make the top 10. The problem is we split votes with all the other bear mascots. Between Bananas the black bear from the university of Maine and Victor E. Bear from the University of Central Arkansas the bear vote is just too splintered. We need to start a movement to consolidate the bear vote.
After this video, I don't see how the Oregon Duck did not make the list.
